Mr Marius Rebek is a dedicated Consultant Urologist currently serving as the Urology Cancer Lead at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. His medical journey began with comprehensive training in Central Europe (Slovenia), which he further enhanced through prestigious fellowships in Endo-urology and Functional Urology at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as well as Andrology at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) in London. As a substantive consultant, Mr Rebek specialises in general urology, with a particular focus on Endo-urology and Andrology (Men’s health and Sexual Medicine).
In 2014, he successfully passed the European Board of Urology exam and has since been recognised as a Fellow of the European Board of Urology. He also completed the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee in Sexual Medicine exam in 2016, earning the right to be called a Fellow of the European Committee for Sexual Medicine. Passionate about education and mentoring, Mr Rebek served as an active member of the European Board of Urology from 2015 to 2024, where he was part of the certification committee, supervised the training of urology residents across Europe, and advocated for sexual medicine as an important part of the urology curriculum. Additionally, Mr Rebek is a member of the editorial board of the European Medical Journal (EMJ).
Outside of his clinical and academic pursuits, Mr Rebek is also a member of the Rotary Club of Saint Marylebone, where he actively engages with the local community. The current president has been serving since 2025, contributing to various charitable initiatives and community service
Research Experience
Mr Rebek’s research background includes significant contributions during his time at the University Medical Centre Maribor in Slovenia, where he focused on gene expression as potential markers for prostate cancer diagnostics and prognosis. His career is driven by a commitment to continuous research that supports clinical governance and quality improvements in urology.

Mr Rebek has demonstrated active engagement in academia with a variety of publications and presentations, including:
- Books: Contributions to “Urogenital Cancer” in an oncology textbook for medical students.
- Conference Papers: Over ten conference presentations on topics such as penile fractures, endoscopic treatments for vesico-ureteral reflux, techniques for male stress urinary incontinence, ureteric stent complications (Slovenian Urological Association Congress) and outcomes of varicocele management (BAUS)
